Protech – Oxyplast AG-KOTE™ Low Bake Polyester Powder Coatings Range

AG-KOTE™ Low Bake Polyester Powder Coatings are an extensive range of Protech – Oxyplast polyester powder coatings that can be cured with much greater flexibility than conventional polyester ranges. A true low cure option.

Oxyplast AG-KOTE™ can assist with the efficiency of your powder coating line and offers the potential to reduce your carbon footprint. It is available in a variety of finishes from smooth, sandtex, and coarse texture (ripple).

Oxyplast AG-KOTE™ is designed to reduce the curing temperature or curing time; without sacrificing the quality and properties of the coating. AG-KOTE™ is a true low bake powder coating. AG-KOTE™ offers you a truly flexible range of curing options without requiring you to extend your oven time. Other powder coating products that ask you to extend your curing time in order to offer a low cure option will not provide the same potential productivity or energy savings. AG-KOTE™ offers a flexible curing schedule to suit your facilities of between 150 and 200°C, from 2 – 15 minutes. By using this range, you will be able to reduce your energy consumption and / or increase the productivity of your application process. Not only will this contribute to lower costs but also improve your ecological footprint.
Our unique formulations and the low temperatures needed to cure these powders enable porous substrates to be coated with almost no craters, pin holes, or air bubbles. As an added benefit the low temperatures provide energy and cost savings.  AG-KOTE™ powders are formulated to show excellent chemical and stain resistance as well as outstanding exterior durability. As with all Protech – Oxyplast products, they are environmentally friendly. 

Oxyplast AG-KOTE™ technology is available as PE40 Series Smooth Glossy,  PE42 Smooth Matt, PE42-ST Sandtex Matt, PE44-WR Coarse Texture (Ripple) and PE44-ST Anti-Slip.

A Low-Bake EF36 primer is also available to reduce energy costs and be used in combination with our Oxyplast AG-KOTE™ products. This modified epoxy primer has excellent degassing and anti-corrosion properties and has been developed for low-curing duplex systems.  

Oxyplast AG-KOTE™ products are suitable for both interior and exterior use. These products have a proven track record and are independently certified by Qualicoat, Qualisteelcoat, GSB-on-aluminium and GSB-on-steel.

The future is already for sale! Significant energy saving combined with Significant time saving. Less heating means less cost! Heating a metal surface up to 200°C needs a lot of time and energy. Heating the same piece up to 150°C to cure the powder coating will lower your heating expenses significantly as well as lowering the CO₂ release and saving time. On a turnaround of 35 minutes you save 7 minutes or 20%. You can reduce the oven period even more by curing on a higher temperature, for example 2 minutes @ 200°C.
