Polyester Powder Coating. ‘Mirror Chrome’ 500% Gloss Finish.
OXYPLAST Mirror Chrome is a modified polyester powder coating that shows a magnificent chrome mirror effect.
By this property, however, the coating becomes more sensitive to humidity and friction.
For maintaining this mirror effect for a long time, a transparent top-coat is required.
• Density (g/cm³): (ISO 8130-2:1992) 1,25 ± 0.05
• Particle size: Optimized for electrostatic application and in function of the coating aspect.
• Storage: Dry, in closed packaging at max. 25 °C: at least 6 months.
Remark: In humid environments the powder shows more tendency to lumping. Therefore, the packaging has to be closed as airtight as possible after each usage.
• Application: With Corona gun / Film thickness: min. 60 µm, max. 120 µm
• Curing schedule:
10 min. at 200 °C (metal temperature)
15 min. at 190 °C (metal temperature)
• Compatibility: Mirror Chrome is not compatible with other standard polyester powder coatings.
A very good cleaning of the spray booth before and after the application is necessary.
