Polyester Powder Coating with a 100% Gloss.

OXYPLAST PE60 is an outdoor durable powder coating with an excellent flow., showing a high gloss smooth aspect with excellent clarity and/or metallic effects.

The effect of metallic coatings is highly dependant on the entire coating application. As a result, the effect obtained with for example a corona or tribo gun will be different. The application of a metallic powder from the same batch on different coating lines that is to be used for the same project should also be avoided. Some metallic coatings are semi-transparent in order to obtain their specific metallic effect. The final coating effect is dependant on the applied coating thickness and the colour of the substrate or basecoat. – Depending on the coating effect a transparent topcoat might be required to protect the metallic pigments from oxidation in case of contact with moisture or from damage and colour change due to friction.

• Density (g/cm³): (ISO 8130-2:1992) 1,25 – 1,65 (depending on colour)
• Particle size: Optimized for electrostatic applications and in function of the coating aspect.
• Storage: Dry, at max. 25 °C: at least 2 years
• Application: With Corona or Tribo gun / Layer thickness: 60-100 µm
• Curing schedule: 10 min. at 180 °C (metal temperature) or 7 min. at 200 °C (metal temperature)
